An excellent proposal. Questionable paperwork.

You open the statement, find the deductions, and take another sip of coffee. Apparently the number at the top was just the opening offer. A person can have a few thoughts about that.

Identity Crisis arrives with a proposal of its own: “I IDENTIFY AS A TAX EXEMPT.” Stacks of cash, gold coins, and officious-looking paperwork give the declaration the visual confidence of a very well-funded department. The oversized cream lettering does the rest. It’s an absurdly grand presentation for the passing thought that keeping more of your own money sounds pretty damn good.

Wear it to the weekend get-together, the coffee run, or lunch with the friend who always reads the fine print. The joke belongs with the raised eyebrow and the quick comeback, not a lecture that holds up the table. You can appreciate the punchline, get a laugh, and carry on with your day. The coffee is paid for. You’d just like that same arrangement with the rest of the paycheck.

Size It Up

A regular fit with a structured shape. Sizes S–3XL are offered in all 11 colors. Sizes 4XL and 5XL are offered in Black, Forest Green, Military Green, and Irish Green.

These are garment measurements, not body chest measurements. Lay a tee you already own flat. Measure the width across the chest just below the sleeves, and the length from the top of the shoulder beside the collar to the bottom hem. Compare those measurements with the charts below. The supplier allows variation of up to 2 inches (5 cm).

Keep It Sharp

Turn it inside out. Machine-wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors. Skip fabric softener and dry cleaning. Hang-dry or tumble-dry on low. If it needs an iron, use a cool setting on the inside and keep the iron off the print.
